47th ISOBM Conference

Dear colleagues,

On behalf of the Board of the International Society of Oncology and Biomarkers (ISOBM)
I am pleased to invite you to actively participate in the:

47th ISOBM Conference from 13th to 15th of October 2025
at the Convention Center Murnau, Germany

The focus of this Conference will be on biomarker research and its clinical application, molecular diagnostics, technological breakthroughs and artificial intelligence leading to a “New Era of Biomarkers in Oncology” and improving diagnosis, therapy monitoring and patient care through the course of cancer disease.

The Conference aims to bring together leading academic scientists, young and experienced researchers, medical clinicians and technology specialists from all fields of oncology to exchange and share their research results and experiences with emphasis on new biomarkers, technologies and applications in cancer care.

Oral and poster presentations, roundtable discussions and special topic seminars, workshops and room for interaction with colleagues and industry partners will provide new insights, constructive discussions and opportunities for networking and further collaborations.

Key topics of the conference include:
• Molecular pathology and blood-based biomarkers
• Liquid profiling / liquid biopsy: ctDNA, CTCs, Epigenetics, Fragmentomics
• Protein-based markers, tumor markers
• Extracellular vesicles and associated markers
• Immune diagnostics
• Microbiome
• Proteomics and Metabolomics
• Technological breakthroughs
• Evidence based medicine (EBM)
• Quality assurance, standardization and harmonization
• Preanalytical and analytical validation
• Organ-related biomarkers (solid cancers)
• Hematological cancers
• Early cancer detection and screening
• Prognostic and predictive biomarkers
• Monitoring of therapy response and toxicity
• Targeted and immune therapies, cancer vaccines
• Imaging technologies
• Advanced biostatistics and algorithms
• Digital biomarkers
• Artificial intelligence and machine learning
• Large language model diagnostics
• Clinical biomarker trials
• Biobanking and sample collections
• Personalized medicine: genomics/epigenetics/proteomics
• Multimodal diagnostics – individual modelling
• Cardio-Oncology

For more information, please, visit the ISOBM conference website that is hosted by the Trillium conference agency.

The Conference will take place in the lovely “Blue Land” of Murnau (www.dasblaueland.de/en/) in the “greater Munich area” in Southern Bavaria that has inspired and stimulated numerous expressionistic artists and painters of the early 20th century around the “Blue Rider” (Blaue Reiter) group led by Wassily Kandinsky, Gabriele Münter and Franz Mark who lived and worked here.

We are looking forward to a really inspiring conference and many active participants starting together with us into a “New Era of Biomarkers in Oncology”.
